Study on port release time of import container cargo at Yantian port

Methods: Case study

Core content: Taking general container goods imported to Yantian Port of Shenzhen as the research object, this paper comprehensively and accurately displays its release process. Through sampling survey method, it tracks, records and summarizes and analyzes the time-consuming situation of each link in the process of goods release, and conducts horizontal comparison with the port release time of imported goods from Japan and South Korea.

The report finds:

(1) According to the sampling data from March to May 2015, the average time of the whole release process of imported goods in Yantian Port of Shenzhen was about 122 hours;

(2) The time of Shenzhen Yantian before the declaration is not much different from that of Japan, but the time of release at the declaration stage is greatly different from that of Japan and South Korea;

(3) The lack of scientific and reasonable establishment of the current regulatory authorities is one of the key factors for the relatively long release time;

(4) The existing release process, including the design of the two parts of inspection and customs clearance, is another key factor that causes the release time to be too long.
